About
Dupuch
|
|
Dupuch is a name
synonymous with quality publishing
|

The Dupuch name is synonymous with publishing in The Bahamas. The family
has a long history in the business, starting with the Nassau Daily
Tribune founded by Leon Dupuch at the turn of the last century
and continued by his son, the late Sir Etienne Dupuch.

Etienne Dupuch Jr has carried the tradition forward into the 21st century.
He is founder and owner of Etienne Dupuch Jr Publications, the largest
magazine and book publishing company in the country.

"I was born into the business, I've been involved in every aspect of the business," says
Dupuch, who founded the company in 1959. Since then, he has watched it expand
into a major publishing house that produces the Bahamas Handbook; the full-colour
Welcome hardback books circulated in hotel rooms throughout Nassau, Paradise
Island and Grand Bahama; The Bahamas Investor; the entertaining What to Do magazines;
the Dining & Entertainment Guide; and the handy Bahamas Trailblazer Maps.

The Bahamas Handbook, an annual publication, has grown to more than 600
pages over the years. Etienne Dupuch Jr. and his wife, the late Sylvia
Perfetti Dupuch, designed it as the authoritative source for The Bahamas.
Its diverse readership includes locals, tourists, business people and
investors -- not surprising since it contains everything from the most
up-to-date statistical information to entertaining features on the history,
and the people of the islands.

Bahamas Handbook
|
|
All The Bahamas in one book - Everything you need to know about The Bahamas
|

The Bahamas Handbook is the company's flagship publication, an annual
book that runs to more than 650 pages. It includes full-colour
photography and stories on the people, history, culture, investing,
politics and the islands of the archipelago, including in-depth
articles on tourism and the economy. Much of the book’s reputation
rests on the encyclopaedic Blue Pages -- a 200-page, A to Z compendium
of the most up-to-date information available on The Bahamas today.
Used to entertain and inform, but also to promote The Bahamas as
an exciting vacation spot and a premier place to live, work, do
business and invest.

Caribbean or Continental ambience, and the quality of the food is second to none
|

This popular booklet points visitors to the best places to go for breakfast,
lunch and dinner, whether they are looking for fast or fancy meals.
Each edition throws a spotlight on the head chefs at two restaurants,
and reproduces their favourite recipes so visitors can make them
back home. There's a list of the most popular restaurants, along
with information on the dress code, reservations, average meal
costs and whether the establishment offers a happy hour. Night
clubs, comedy reviews and stage shows are listed, along with all
the places to enjoy music, from quiet piano stylings and cool jazz
to sensual latin dance beats and karaoke. Distributed free in stores,
restaurants and hotels.
